Freida Adams speaks of her life and career from growing up the only child of a single mom after her beloved father passed away from cancer to becoming. a Registered Nurse. She speaks of life in Costa Rica, Venezuela, and Thailand. She reminisces about the years of starting a clinic in Venezuela, and how Venezuelan friends embraced her as family. She speaks of her years as Director of the Office of Border Health in New Mexico where she coordinated international efforts to address needs on the US-Mexico border. She speaks about finding like-minded friends in government in both the US and Mexican governments, and how she is still coordinating volunteers to care for immigrants and those with food insecurities during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
