US Election EPS 15: Freida Adams on a woman VP, social media, Biden’s plan for Covid and immigrants
Freida Adams, the retired Director of Border Health for New Mexico talks about the coalition she stays involved with, the questions the Biden administration has already been asking in her circles to get their transition plan in place regarding Covid and the situation with immigrants, especially kids in cages on the border. She talks about the long wait to see a woman become Vice President, and how that made her want to reach out to her granddaughter to celebrate that moment. She talks about her excitement that our new Vice President is also a Black woman and an Indian-American as well. She is vulnerable about how it hurts to see lifelong friends and family use hateful words on social media to connect peoples’ politics to the state of their soul, and how she cares for her own soul in the midst of it all.
